Er heerst een algemene en bijna algehele  misconceptie over het woord science. Ik zal het nog eens uitleggen.

Science betekent wetenschap. Wetenschap is de kennis verkregen met behup van de wetenschappelijke methode:

"Science is the method that attempts to describe the nature of the physical world by applying the principles of the scientific method. These principles include the making of empirical observations, proposing hypotheses to explain those observations, and testing those hypotheses in valid and reliable ways. Science also refers to the body of knowledge that has accumulated as the result of this method. Science is devoid of ideology – it is not theistic, neither is it atheistic. At most science is agnostic – a term for not to believe what cannot be demonstrated by the senses."
